Launch Ramps

We are anticipating approximately 90+ owners at this years ride so we suggest that owners plan appropriately to allow time to efficiently launch your Sea-Doo vessels. We suggest planning on launching by 8:00 AM to allow proper time to gather at the departure location, Site Six Launch Ramp. Site Six Launch Ramp space is limited in the number of trailers able to launch at one time so we suggest arriving as early as possible.

SITE SIX LAUNCH RAMP – Free Launch Ramp McCulloch Blvd. – On the Island over London Bridge
 (928) 453-8686
 www.ci.lake-havasu-city.az.us (map below)

Pre-Registration and On-Site Ride Registration – Participants can register by sending in the included entry from and e-mailing to info@look-marketing.com or faxing to 321.674.9260 and filling in the requested information by October 3rd or on-site on Thursday, October 6th at Mudsharks Brewery, 210 Swanson Avenue, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 from 6:30-8PM on the back patio.

ALL Pre-Registrants are required to check in at the Thursday, October 6th registration event at Mudsharks Brewery.

Sea-Doo Ultimate Owners Ride VI – THE RIDE – The 2016 group ride will require all participants to ride responsibly and safely and understand the route and follow instructions. With the large number of participants in this year’s ride, it is very important that everybody practice safe riding and keep a minimum distance of 150’ from one another. This ride is approximately 50+ miles round-trip and requires ALL units to be COMPLETELY topped off with fuel for a safe and trouble free round trip ride.

Riding in a group requires that riders respect the space of others (maintain a minimum distance of 150-feet away from all other vessels while at speed) and run in a consistent, straight line. NEVER pass your flight leader. If you are planning to turn right, please look over your right shoulder before initiating the turn and vice-versa for left turns. If you are stopping please signal you are stopping by raising your off-throttle high over your head for those behind you before beginning to slow. ALL RIDERS MUST FOLLOW ALL USCG AND LOCAL BOATING LAWS AT ALL TIMES ON RIDE.

Sea-Doo Ultimate Owners Ride VI – THE ROUTE – The ride will include multiple stops and your flight leader will direct you to these various stops. The stops will include:

  1. Site Six Launch Ramp – Departure location
  2. Famous London Bridge – photo op
  3. Mouth of the River – Re-group stop
  4. Havasu Sandbar – photo op and re-group stop

Sea-Doo X-TEAM watercraft racer Dustin Farthing is dedicating his final season of racing to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta by donating all of his 2016 prize and contingency money to the Atlanta based non-profit.

Farthing is a 17X national and world champion, now residing in Marietta, GA and part owner of six BRP dealerships under the Mountain Motorsports brand and father of two healthy sons. He is closing out an illustrious 23-year watercraft-racing career by giving back to the sport that has provided him the majority of his personal and professional success. In his final season he has chosen to race for BRP Inc. (Bombardier Recreational Products), the industries leading manufacturer, aboard a new Monster Energy backed Sea-Doo RXP-X 300 watercraft and aims to finish in the lead pack collecting prize money he will then donate to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

“This sport has given me so much and I want to leave the sport by doing something special for the kids of Atlanta and their families whom are facing incredible health challenges. ” exclaims Farthing. “My wife, whom I met at a race 20-plus years ago, and two sons are the most important part of my life and I feel blessed every day for our health and am challenging myself to race for families struggling to take care of their children and winning on my Sea-Doo watercraft.”

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is a not-for-profit organization that provides specialized care to children from all walks of life. They rely on donations to provide the best possible care to young patients and their families now and in the future. Farthing will donate 100% of the prize money he earns during the 2016 watercraft racing season plus all racing contingency funds from the Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty program that makes over $25,000 of funds available to winning Sea-Doo watercraft riders. *

“This sport has given me every opportunity to have an incredible life and now it’s my opportunity to give back,” said Farthing. I am going to have fun in my final year racing on a Sea-Doo watercraft and give back in the most positive manner possible.

Farthing will be competing in the Pro Watercross Tour, that begins this weekend in Panama City, Florida as well as the Florida based P1 AquaX series and IJSBA World Finals event in October taking place in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

  • 300HP SEA-DOO RXP-X AND RXT-X MODELS FOCUS OF 2016 RACING SEASON
  • SEA-DOO TO ACTIVATE MULTIPLE 2016 RACE SUPPORT PROGRAMS

Valcourt, QC, CANADA– April 7, 2016 – BRP is taking watercraft racing to the next level in 2016 with the Sea-Doo X-TEAM race programs and the return of an all-star roster of Pro watercraft racers led by the winningest runabout racer of all time, Dustin Farthing.

The introduction of the new Sea-Doo RXP-X 300 and RXT-X 300 watercraft models has performance fans excited for the start of the 2016 riding season, and BRP is supporting the racing community with multiple programs. The 2016 Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty program provides all Sea-Doo riders competing in the various disciplines of watercraft racing in North America the opportunity to earn contingency money throughout the season. BRP is also ensuring there are more competition-focused events through the Sea-Doo Promoter support program, sponsoring race events across North America.

BRP will sponsor premier racing events including the P1 AquaX Series, Pro Watercross Tour, IJSBA World Finals and others and will see a stacked team of veteran Pro racers representing the Sea-Doo X-TEAM in 2016. These racers include Claude Clayton, Anya Colley, Paul Green, Erminio Iantosca, Eric Lagopoulos, Tim Neff, Anthony Radetic, Troy Snyder, Blaine Spooner and the return of champion Dustin Farthing. Farthing is a 17X National and World Champion and has chosen to compete on a Monster Energy/Mountain Motorsports backed Sea-Doo RXP-X 300 for 2016.

farthing“I’m very excited to return to racing and competing on a new Sea-Doo RXP-X 300 watercraft,” said Farthing. “I raced aboard Sea-Doo watercraft in 1997 & 1998, and won two National and one World Championship. With the help of Monster Energy and BRP, the idea of coming back to racing after two-years of focusing my energy on my six BRP dealerships is now a reality. I’m looking forward to return to racing for this great manufacturer and the X-TEAM to earn championships in 2016.”

Farthing and all Sea-Doo watercraft riders will be eligible for Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty. The Sea-Doo X-TEAM contingency is essentially an, “open-sponsorship” that excludes no one, except those competing on other brands. In addition to the glory that comes with winning on Sea-Doo watercraft, comes the opportunity for extra prize money. In addition, the Sea-Doo X-TEAM Promoter support program provides event producers sponsorship funds to help them produce more, high-quality events. BRP works with promoters to ensure Sea-Doo performance enthusiasts have a place to ride and compete in an organized manner, providing another fun aspect of owning a Sea-Doo watercraft.

“BRP launched the next level of performance watercraft in 2016 and Sea-Doo X-TEAM fans around the world are anxious to see them compete,” says Tim McKercher, of Sea-Doo watercraft competition management. “BRP is excited to cheer on all Sea-Doo watercraft racers and to see Dustin Farthing back on Sea-Doo watercraft, joining a team that will show the world how the new RXP-X 300 model takes performance riding to the next level.

BRP does more for the sport of watercraft racing than any other company. For 2016, Sea-Doo X-TEAM program support begins at the opening event of the P1 AquaX series, taking place April 9, 2016 in Tavares, Florida.

Today’s not just Throwback Thursday. Guinness Book of World Records Day is also celebrating it’s 10th anniversary. The durability and reliability of Sea-Doo watercraft have played an enormous role in some historic moments for Sea-Doo riders. So, for todays TBT, here’s a quick look back at five world records set by riders on a Sea-Doo watercraft from 2009.

Eric Lagopoulis sets Guinness World Record, 2009

Eric Lagopoulis attempting to set Guinness World Record, 2009

• Most miles travelled on a PWC in a 24-hour period
o *1,019.94 miles (1,641.43 km) by Ivan Otulić of Croatia in June 2009 on a SeaDoo GTX IS
• Most miles travelled on a PWC in a six-hour period
o 286 miles (460 km) + by Eric Lagopoulos of Sarasota, FL in November 2009
The strong winds, dark skies and scattered rain wasn’t enough to stop Eric Lagopoulos from finishing his six hour ride and neither was the cold front that moved through the area as he pushed through to attempt furthest ride in 24 hours.
• Most miles travelled on a PWC in open-water in a 24-hour period
o 753 miles (1,211 km) + by Mike Pagliccia of Naples, Florida in October 2009
• Fastest time to 1000 km (621 miles) on a PWC
o 10 hours, 9 minutes by Juan Felix Bravo of Madrid, Spain in July 2009 stopping only to refuel himself and his Sea-Doo RXT-I
• Most miles travelled on a PWC in a 24-hour period
o 786 miles (1,265 km) by Dale Vranckx of Ontario, Canada in July 2009

Congratulations to everyone who sets World Record’s today; as we know they are no easy feat. New records have since been set on Sea-Doo watercraft in more recent years.

*Correction: An earlier version of this post stated that Eric Lagopoulos of Sarasota, FL broke the record for most miles travelled on a PWC in a 24-hour period in November 2009 at 880 miles (1,416 km). The attempt was short by 139.94 miles (225.43 km) to Ivan Otulić’s ride.
