The compact Sea-Doo SPARK is the lightest watercraft on the market ideal for short, playful rides on smaller bodies of water and holds its own under rougher conditions for more challenging, thrilling rides. The minimalist Exoskel architecture gives the Sea-Doo SPARK watercraft an open-air upper deck appearance with a framework that consists of two forward swept “arms” securing the handlebar and rider connection. By keeping only the essential structural portions of the watercraft in the rider control area, strength and durability are maintained. The Exoskel reduces weight while creating a unique modern design that defines the playful maneuverability of the Sea-Doo SPARK watercraft and a power-to-weight ratio close to 50% better than the closest competitive model. Its compact design and lightweight construction makes it easy to own, easy to tow, and simple to store.

The innovation of the Sea-Doo SPARK goes beyond the architectural design and extends into the advanced materials and processes used to create this watercraft. Polytec, an exclusive recipe of polypropylene and long glass fibers designed specifically for watercraft hull and deck applications, is used to make up the Sea-Doo SPARK Exoskel. This material is a recyclable, low density, high-impact resistant, lightweight composite material. Polytec keeps the overall weight of the watercraft low without compromising strength and durability.

Powered by the robust Rotax 900 ACE engine, the Sea-Doo SPARK costs more than 30% less than the closest model  and is the most fuel-efficient watercraft in the industry. It is economical to operate and maintain, making Sea-Doo watercraft ownership available to more people than ever before. Designed specifically for delivering years of reliable fun, the ROTAX 900 ACE is an in-line three-cylinder 4-stroke power plant featuring iTC (Intelligent Throttle Control) system and CLCS (Closed-Loop Cooling System). The Rotax 900 HO ACE adds power, Sport mode and has a top speed close to 50 mph (80 km/h).

The Sea-Doo SPARK is one of the industry’s most decorated watercraft of all time winning the NMMA Innovation Award, Red Dot Design Award, Edison Silver Award, Boating Industry Magazine’s best new product, the Good Design Award in Japan and Australia, and the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award.

Riders can personalize everything according to their necessities, personality, lifestyle and budget from technology features to color and accessories. Most of all, the Sea-Doo SPARK watercraft is compact, lightweight and an absolute blast to ride. From recreational riding, to performance, to luxury or tow sports, BRP has a Sea-Doo model specially designed for every type of rider. The full line-up of Sea-Doo watercraft provide avant-garde styling, precise, superior handling and great value – delivering many years of fun for the best on-water experience your family can dream of.

BRP takes performance riding to the next level once again with the introduction of the new 300-hp Rotax 1630 ACE engine in the 2016 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 and RXP-X 300 and the integration of the race-proven Ergolock seat on all RXT models.

The new Rotax 1630 ACE engine is bigger, more efficient and delivers more power with a boosted 300 hp, becoming the most powerful engine ever produced by Rotax. The Rotax 1630 ACE has a longer stroke compared to the Rotax 1503 and features a new supercharger with a faster spinning 32-blade wheel producing 30% more intake boost1. Adding to the power producing efficiency is a reengineered cooling system that is improved by 33% in part from an additional heat exchanger and more efficient engine oil cooler. New ignition curves have been developed to efficiently match the increased air boost with the output of the larger fuel injectors leading to a 15% increase in horsepower and the industry’s best power-to-weight ratio in the 2016 RXP-X 300 model.

This new engine also features a new plasma coating technology for aluminum-block engines developed by a Rotax team in Gunskirchen, Austria. The plasma coating technology is a thermal spraying process that deposits a protective coating on engine cylinder liners to create a metallic layer that provides a hard and durable surface to withstand piston friction forces. It improves surface durability, while keeping the engine lighter and more compact with better heat transfer and superior performance, and reduced use of chemicals.

The race-proven Ergolock seat is now available on all RXT models for 2016 and allows riders to hold onto the watercraft better by using their stronger leg muscles to squeeze the narrower seat, thus improving control and reducing upper body fatigue. The 2016 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 receives the complete Ergolock system that includes the narrow Ergolock seat, the Adjustable Ergonomic Steering (A.E.S.) handlebar and the angled footwell wedges for more rider comfort and control.

All 2016 Sea-Doo performance models will be equipped with the second-generation iBR that improves on the industry’s first, intuitive braking system with a more responsive activation. The new iBR reduces the stopping distance by close to 48.75 m (160-feet)2 sooner than deceleration without braking. The Sea-Doo iBR system is the first and only braking system recognized by the USCG since 2009 for contributing to recreational boating safety and is now even better with a stronger gear drive motor and larger, reengineered brake gate. The iBR system adds to the rider centric design approach providing maximum control in all conditions. The 2016 Sea-Doo performance models also include race-inspired features such as high-performance Variable Trim System (VTS), increased storage capacity on RXT models, new handlebar grips with palm rest and race-inspired coloration and graphics.

2016 SEA-DOO RXT-X 300

The combination of the increased power and efficiency of the new ROTAX 1630 ACE engine with the advanced ergonomics of the Ergolock seat deliver a confidence inspiring ride allowing you to push your limits even further on the 2016 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300. The 300-hp Rotax 1630 ACE engine delivers more torque providing more mid-range power to help maintain momentum when riding through heavy chop where the jet pump is continually reengaging the water. The new power package provides greater throttle response in all conditions and is the most powerful engine ever offered in a Sea-Doo watercraft.

The RXT-X 300 model also benefits from the learning’s of the recent Sea-Doo closed course racing success as the race-proven Sea-Doo Ergolock system of the RXP-X has been adapted to this model. The system allows the rider to connect with the watercraft better and use his entire body to hold on rather than only the upper-body, thus improving confidence and reducing upper body fatigue. The narrower, body-molded seat, Adjustable Ergonomic Steering (A.E.S.) handlebar and angled footwell wedges, have proven to benefit in aggressive cornering and are equally beneficial in connecting the watercraft in choppy, open-water, straight-line riding. The added ability for the rider to feel better connected to the RXT-X 300 delivers better control and less fatigue allowing the rider to utilize the available power more efficiently.

The addition of the Ergolock seat also aided in a redesign that now offers added wet storage under Sea-Doo’s exclusive removable watertight storage bin for over three times more storage capacity than the previous generation with 162 liters (42.8 US gallons) of total storage and a larger glove box. The technical flowing edges of the RXT-X model is complimented by the functionality of the stable and predictable S3 hull with adjustable rear sponsons. The RXT-X 300 watercraft is equipped with race specific features including, digital infocenter with integrated lap timer and boost indicator and high-performance Variable Trim System (VTS). It also features the second-generation iBR adding to the level of rider control with the most intuitive operation and Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) systems with Touring, Sport and ECO modes. The Rotax 1630 ACE power package provides greater mid-range power for better cornering speed and produces over 1G during acceleration from a stop.

The T3 hull design allows the RXP-X 300 model to aggressively lean into corners and penetrate chop better than any of its two-seater counterparts. T3 stands for “tight-turning t-hull” and uses an advanced, dual running surface hull design with a unique combination of soft and hard chines, adjustable rear sponsons and performance trim tabs. The T3 hull combined with the Ergolock system allows the rider to lean further into corners, using more of the available power, with greater confidence and less effort to turn tighter and faster.

The Sea-Doo RXP-X 300 also receives the new handlebar grips with palm rest and intuitive second-generation iBR enhancing the level of rider control to complete the most intuitively controlled two-seater in the high-performance segment. The Sea-Doo RXP-X model has set the standard for precise handling and in 2016 is available in Lava Red and the modern Monolith Black Satin coloration or race inspired White and Dayglow Yellow.

2016 SEA-DOO RXT-X aS 260

Sea-Doo personal watercraft have four entirely different types of hulls. Yes, four. And, each one offers a different type of riding experience so that you get the best type of ride for your style.

Sea-Doo-GTI-Hull

GTI HULL
Let’s start with the GTI hull. Our GTI hulls are playful, stable and predictable. They provide riders that need a more forgiving watercraft, but still have versatility for glassy and moderate water conditions. The hull rides higher on the water surface so that you get that nimbleness that make watercraft a blast and it planes quickly. With multiple passengers, the extended width has been shown to be the most stable ride. How can you point this hull out?

GTI HullThe GTI hull has a flatter V (16-degree deadrise) and is shorter with a low center of gravity. It is also a three-seater, which means it has tow sport capabilities! This hull makes for ideal rides on all of Sea-Doo’s GTI / recreation models as well as the WAKE 155 for wakeskating & wakeboarding and the GTR 215 for performance rides. A recent win from Eric Lagopolous at AquaX in St. Cloud on his Sea-Doo GTR 215 shows just how versatile this hull truly is.

GTX-S3-HullS3 HULL
Always innovating, we didn’t stop with the unique performance of the GTI hull. Our team of designers developed the S3 hull for a Stepped, Stable and Strong ride. Sea-Doo S3 Hull Stepped Design

These hulls are made from a lightweight material, and the stepped style creates a low-pressure zone to reduce drag and create nimble handling.  The S3 hull cuts through the water and leans naturally when cornering; it’s really all about comfort. For riders looking to take an extended journey, this hull reigns supreme as it bridges and cuts chop better.

Sea-Doo S3 Hull You can differentiate the S3 hull by it long, deep V shape (23-degree deadrise) and suspension option. It also comes as a three-seater with towsports capabilities. The S3 is the platform for all of the Sea-Doo GTX / Luxury models (we mentioned comfort, didn’t we?), the WAKE Pro 215, and the RXT models for better offshore performance.

RXP-T3-HullT3 HULL
The revolutionary T3 hull was another design success. For performance enthusiasts, this hull is the cream of the crop. It provides aggressive lean-in turning characteristics. And, it penetrates through chop and rough water conditions better than any of its predecessors. T3 stands for Tight-Turning T-hull and uses an advanced dual surface hull design.

Exclusive T3 Hull

A unique combination of soft and hard chines engages the water with a suction-like force when leaning into a corner. These combined features allow the rider to turn tighter and faster. The T3 hull has great stability at idle and low speeds, unmatched acceleration, and a narrow high-speed running surface that helps the RXP-X track though chop better. It delivers an agile and highly precise driving experience ideal for enthusiasts craving a superior race-oriented watercraft. Complimenting the T3 hull is the Ergolock system that offers the rider greater control and confidence as it focusses on connecting the rider better with he lower body minimizing upper body fatigue. The T3 hull design can only be found on the two-seater RXP-X 260.

SPARK HULL

The SPARK hull design objective was based on bringing back the simple fun and heritage of early day Sea-Doo models. The Sea-Doo X4 hull was one of the all-time best selling hull styles and this hull was used as the basis for the SPARK. This V-hull includes a latter center running surface and two sets of hard chines on either side of the keel to provide precise handling while being nimble and playful.

2014 SEA-DOO SPARK 2UP_STUDIO PROFILE PINEAPPLEThe hull features three new design effects that provide a better overall rider experience. Additional volume was added both to the bow and to the rear gunnels to provide extra buoyancy and stability. Plus the reshaped bow design helps deflect water down providing a dryer ride. Available in both 2up and 3up versions, the 3up option includes the addition of a modular hull extension to raise capacity 100 pounds and providing a more stable platform for tow sports.

2014 SEA-DOO SPARK_LIFESTYLE4SmallThe innovation doesn’t end there as one of the many value propositions of the SPARK is accessibility and fun. Keeping the power-to-weight ratio strong includes keeping the SPARK light weight and the new, exclusive Polytec material provides a lightweight hull while maintaining ruggedness and durability. Weighing in at nearly half the weight of full-sized watercraft, the SPARK is easy to move both on-water and off making it easy to tow with even the smallest sedans.

Needless to say, whatever type of fun you’re looking to have out on the water, Sea-Doo’s designs deliver.

We know Sea-Doo owners like to take advantage of any riding time that they can during their busy schedules. And, since a Sea-Doo watercraft is so easy to get to the water and back, it’s perfect for quick or extended trips. But, the water can be unpredictable, and as much as we’d like to be able to control the weather to manage the waves, we decided instead to develop an even more optimized ride.

GTXLTDisSea-Doo was the first and has been the only to develop full-rider suspension on a personal watercraft. Models with suspension experience a smoother and more comfortable ride every time even as water conditions vary throughout the day. With suspension, when waters get rough, the rider is cushioned from wind chop and arm fatigue is reduced. So, if you do have the time for an all-day ride, you’ll enjoy it longer. Passengers also love suspension for the extra comfort; whomever you’re living the Sea-Doo life with will want to keep riding with you.

2015-SEA-DOO-GTX-LTD-iS-260-ACTION-2Since every rider has there own preference, there are variations to what Sea-Doo suspension has to offer. The Sea-Doo GTX S 155 has 5.5 inches of manually adjustable suspension. You can enjoy a smooth ride in all water conditions. On the Sea-Doo GTX Limited iS 260, the “iS” stands for Intelligent Suspension. It automatically adjusts compression to water conditions allowing for the greatest range of suspension travel for the smoothest ride possible. The iS system also offers docking mode that automatically lowers the suspension to lower the rider’s center of gravity during slow speed operation for greater stability and raising the rider environment to the normal riding position when underway. The entire riding area moves independently from the hull, and with iControl, you’ll get optimal suspension during your ride. If you’re one that enjoys a long cruise, you will really appreciate this, perhaps even more so Monday morning. FoxShocksAnd, if you’re a performance fanatic, the Sea-Doo RXT-X aS 260 uses superior-grade, high-performance shocks, with full preload and compression manual adjustability. It offers just the right combination for riders who like to challenge offshore conditions but still maintain plenty of control.

No matter which type of rider you are, our suspension options deliver Smooth sailing, Sea-Doo style.

From power to ergonomics and style, Sea-Doo has set the standard for performance watercraft. The Sea-Doo brand was the first to produce a performance watercraft when the 1991 Sea-Doo XP was launched, creating an entirely new segment in the watercraft industry. In 2015 BRP continues to lead the performance watercraft segment with five models, making it easier to find the right model for every type of rider to deliver the exact adrenaline pumping experience they’re looking. But, finding the right watercraft can be lead to questions. If you’re thinking performance, keep reading as we will you help find the model that deliver the experience you’re looking for.

2015 SEA-DOO RXP-X 260 – Pure Exhilaration With World Championship Credentials

Sea-Doo RXP-X 260

Sea-Doo RXP-X 260

Engineered for maximum riding potential, the Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 has claimed more world championships than any other runabout model over a 4-year span. The T3 hull (tight-turning t-hull) and ergonomics are ideal for closed course racers – be it a buoy course in Lake Havasu, the rivers of Florida, or the bayous of Louisiana – allowing the model to aggressively lean into corners and penetrate chop better than any of its two-seater rivals. The RXP-X 260 uses an unmatched advanced, dual surface hull design with a combination of soft and hard chines, dual axis adjustable rear sponsons and performance trim tabs. Riders lock into the machine with the narrow, body-molded racing seat, Adjustable Ergonomic Steering (A.E.S.) and angled footwell wedges. In the middle of a race, riders can take tighter, faster turns using more of the available power leaning further into corners.

The Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 becomes an extension of the rider with a perfect upper and lower body connection. This watercraft is designed to be sen and be noticed on the water and off with a very technical design using a detailed flowing facet design philosophy that provides a ominous appearance demanding respect. The ride itself is the closest experience to a motorcycle not he water as you will find in 2015 as the RXP-X 260 is happiest when leaned over and pushing up walls of water in tight turns. If you want to unveil the Pro rider in you every weekend the RXP-X 260 is your Sea-Doo.

2015 Sea-Doo RXT-X 260

The RXT-X 260 thrusts its riders from point A to point B accelerating to 50mph in less than 3 seconds. This non-suspended model integrates the S3 hull with rear sponsons and to carves corners better than any competitive 3 seat watercraft. By adjusting the VTS and the A.E.S. steering, any rider can customize their preferences for enhanced performance. The RXT-X also features the digital info center, iBR, and iTC along with ECO mode and quick-set Sport/Touring modes.

The riders who travels large lakes or long rivers and accepts the friendly wager to see who can get to the other side first is the rider who should look at the RXT-X 260. The RXT-X 260 is a perfect combination of race/touring and is equipped with race inspired features including the special X-TEAM seat design that is perfect for those high RPM runs with passengers. If you are in need of a performance machine that has the race look and feel and you wan tot do it with a passenger, the Sea-Doo RXT-X 260 should be at the top of your list.

Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 – the Future of Design and Functionality

When the word “design” is discussed in the recreational products industry BRP is usually one of the first companies mentioned in the discussion. BRP’s advanced concepts and innovation team is world renown for shaping the future of recreational vehicles and has been doing this in the personal watercraft industry for over 25 years. The Sea-Doo watercraft line has set the standard in visual appeal and functionality for the past three decades and never has that been truer than in 2014.

The word ‘design’ is generally used to describe how something looks but it is much more than that. Design also describes how things fit and move together. In the realm of vehicles, ergonomics play a significant role in what defines a good design or a not so good design. This is where BRP’s design and innovation teams excel, melding function with fashion to the tune of countless design and innovation awards and hundreds of thousands of happy Sea-Doo owners.

The Sea-Doo line-up includes 16 models, one to fit every watersport enthusiasts’ needs in delivering ultimate fun on the water. Five segments including Rec Lite, Recreation, Tow Sports, Luxury and Performance help define the Sea-Doo model mix. With every big family there is always the ‘athlete’, the chiseled body of muscle, fleet of foot, and always the one you want on your team. In the Sea-Doo watercraft family the star athlete is the Sea-Doo RXP-X 260.

2014 Sea-Doo RXP-X 260

2014 Sea-Doo RXP-X 260

The Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 is the family member with a trophy case full of first place hardware. The Sea-Doo RXP-X is the epitome of high-performance on the water with a powerful high-output supercharged engine pushing the watercraft from 0-30 mph in approximately two seconds but what really makes it stand out from the crowd is that it looks fast sitting still.

When the BRP design team decides to develop a new vehicle they define the personality of that vehicle and research hundreds of other products to gain inspiration. The team looks at animals, cars, airplanes, but also consumer products such as shoes, watches, and electronics. Some of the more notable inspirations for the RXP-X were stealth fighter jets and sharks.

The Intricate 'flowing facet' design gives the RXP-X a distinctly exclusive visual appeal.

The Intricate ‘flowing facet’ design gives the RXP-X a distinctly exclusive visual appeal.

The design philosophy for all curent Sea-Doo watercraft is referred to as ‘flowing facet’ design. This direction utilizes flat surfaces joined together to create a collective shape that flows from bow to stern. The Sea-Doo RXP-X integrates a much more complex collection of surfaces than the GTI family for instance to capture the true advanced design of a performance machine and to provide the ominous visual presence of the watercraft with greater detail.

The shape itself resembles a bull, with a powerful, muscular front half with a more sleek middle section and rear half. The RXP-X’s stance is that of a bull ready to charge. Every level of detail of the RXP-X exudes exclusivity. Some of these exclusive design details include; the transparent hood brow with RXP-X emblem underneath, dual air scoops and the mesh side accents among many more. The visual dynamics earned the Sea-Doo RXP-X the coveted Red Dot Design award among many other distinctions but as mentioned earlier, on a recreational vehicle, fashion has to equally meld with function.

Perhaps the most innovative design element of the Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 is the one you can’t see when on the water, the T3 hull. The T3 hull stands for tight-turning and outstanding tracking through chop. The design includes three distinctive elements that provide handling closer to a high performance street bike than a traditional watercraft.

Exclusive T3 Hull

Exclusive T3 Hull

The hull running surface is a bi-level or multi-staged design with a center pad that drops down roughly 2-inches from the main surface to provide a narrower running pad to cut through chop better while holding its line. The second level provides more lateral surface area aiding in low speed stability. The outside side chines are ‘soft’ or curved rather than ‘hard’ chines with defined angles found on all other sit-down models. The soft chine allows the watercraft to be leaned over further to corner tighter and reduce lateral stress on the driver. The third main design difference of the T3 hull is the aggressive, deep-V keel of the bow with integrated spray deflection elements that provides precise cornering and also minimize bow lowering during heavy deceleration.

The Sea-Doo RXP-X T3 hull provides a very different handling experience that calls for a different manner for the rider to connect to the watercraft and this is why the Ergolock system was developed in unison. The challenge with modern performance watercraft is how to maximize the performance from a rider perspective, how can the rider access the true potential of the watercraft for an extended period of time? Most performance watercraft place a tremendous strain on the rider’s upper body as most competitive models have relatively large, wide seats placing most of the strain on the upper body causing rapid fatigue.

The angled footwell and narrow seat of the Ergolock system.

The angled footwell and narrow seat of the Ergolock system.

The Sea-Doo Ergolock system moves the rider forward of the engine allowing a narrower seat to be utilized with an integrated cushioned flair in the seat over the riders knees and combined with an inward angled footwell, that naturally cambers the rider’s knees into the seat allowing the rider to utilize the strongest muscles in the body to help hold on better during tight turning. Combined with the AES (Adjustable Ergonomic Steering) system the rider can tap into the true performance potential of the Sea-Doo RXP-X staying on the power longer into turns and earlier coming out with less fatigue.

The Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 is the most advanced performance watercraft on the water setting the benchmark in melding fashion and function. The striking flowing facet design provides the detailed look demanded by go fast enthusiasts while the T3 hull and Ergolock system help the rider reach his goals and the RXP-X’s true performance potential. The RXP-X 260 continues the Sea-Doo heritage of setting new benchmarks in design and functionality and is the ultimate performance watercraft.
