BIO

NAME: Chris Kringle

SPORT: Reindeer Racing, Snow Cross, Curling, Wake Sports

AGE: Timeless

PORT: North Pole

FAMILY: Married

Chris Kringle is not known for his prowess on the water but he does have wake skills worthy of being an honorary X-TEAM rider.  His balance and speed are immeasurable yet fitness is never a concern.  His XXXXL PFD holds in that belly of jelly.  While he makes his rounds aboard a Sea-Doo GTI SE 155, red of course, he always makes time to read each and every letter from his fans from around the world.

Most people don’t know much about the big man other than he works diligently all year and leads an army of small-in-stature craftsmen. He is a master of logistics and delivers fun to all that are good. His transportation of choice is out-of-this-world but does perform better in cooler climates. This is where Sea-Doo watercraft have come to his rescue during the past 25 years.

Kringle is able to provide his delivery crew a few milliseconds of rest time in the water bound areas, making waterfront deliveries via dockside delivery. As of late his delivery time has become substantially more efficient with the innovation of BRP’s Intelligent Brake and Reverse (iBR). The new technology provides him greater control to quickly and quietly pull up to docks and when managing his bag of gifts, starting in Neutral allows him to leave as quiet as a mouse.

Lets get to know Chris Kringle a bit better through his own words. .  .

OnBoard – Chris, where did you grow up and how was your competitive spirit developed?

Kringle – I grew up in a magical part of the world few have ever seen. It isn’t the easiest place to get to, but we do have a fleet of Ski-Doo Snowmobiles for the work force and I utilize my custom sleigh and trusty reindeer. When I venture to the tropics we have Sea-Doo watercraft at various ports around the world. As far as competition, our operation is continually challenged and we must cover more area and visit more homes. We push ourselves to be better and more efficient. That new Sea-Doo ECO Mode helps out too as we can go longer without stopping.

OnBoard – What do you do away from the water to stay on the water? What’s your profession?

Kringle – We spend most of our time at the production facility away from the water but a handful of times a year we visit our watersports R&D facility at a secret spot in the Caribbean. On the WAKE side we work with the talents of the NIKE wake team of Nick Taylor, Ben Horan, Andrew Pastura, and Kevin Henshaw. On the performance side, we work with racers James Bushell, Troy Snyder, Brian Baldwin, Claude Clayton, Erminio Iantosca, James Mastersons, Jared Moore, and Chris MacClugage. They are all really good, ho ho ho.

OnBoard – Chris, How were you introduced to watersports?

Kringle – In our business we travel over all areas of this beautiful world. My parents taught me to appreciate the sea and waterways of the world and taught me how important these waterways are to everything living and that Sea-Doo watercraft are the best vehicles to be connected to that life. Sea-Doo watercraft are the ultimate vehicles to be connected with water top nature.

OnBoard – Since you began travelling what are some of your accolades?

Kringle – Lets just say I have been in the double diamond skymiles club every year for the past ….. many years, and have done so all in one night.

OnBoard – Chris, Where is your favorite PWC riding location?
Kringle – Ho ho ho, golly, there are so many, Bora Bora, Queensland, Traverse City, South Beach, Lake Powell, Marseille, Van Ryneveld, Perth, so so many.

OnBoard – What is it about PWC riding that keeps you coming back?
Kringle – Sea-Doo watercraft offer the perfect melding of function and fashion. Sea-Doo watercraft have a look that sets them apart and while holding onto the reins the handling is so instinctual, and they are built to last over 10 years, while operating in the most harsh conditions of any motorized vehicle.

OnBoard – How was your experience doing a quick photo shoot with the Sea-Doo team in Florida?

Kringle –  If there was one word to describe the Sea-Doo crew it would be Passion. I have the utmost respect for people who follow their dreams and live for what they do. That was very enjoyable. It was difficult to get an extra hour this time of year but they were very professional and did their job with passion.  They share many of the same qualities of our organization. They bring people fun and happiness. If you love what you do it isn’t work and that is how that team thinks.

BRP thanks Chris Kringle for his time and dedication to the pursuit of spreading joy around the world.  You can look at the details of his favorite water sleigh and follow Kringle’s upcoming adventure on his trip tracker.
