Orlando, Florida August 16, 2016 – BRP has revamped the 2017 Sea-Doo GTI family of watercraft to offer unbeatable price-value as the most affordable, and most fuel-efficient full-size watercraft in the industry. New for 2017, the Sea-Doo GTS, GTI and GTI SE models will be offered with the compact Rotax 900 HO ACE engine and the lightweight and scratch and impact-resistant Polytec hull material.

2017 Sea-Doo GTI SE

The Sea-Doo GTS and GTI models become the most affordable full-size watercraft with lower price points than the previous years comparable packages.  A 30% increase in fuel efficiency contributes to greater cost savings 1, thanks in part  to the lightweight hull being constructed of BRP’s exclusive Polytec material.. Further reducing the weight and lending to the Sea-Doo GTS and GTI models having the lowest fuel consumption in the industry among all full-size watercraft is the Rotax 900 HO ACE engine. The compact 900 HO ACE ensures watercraft riders make the most of their day by riding longer with less fuel stops.

If there were two words to describe the Sea-Doo GTI watercraft family, it would be versatility and value. The GTI models are good at nearly everything a family would like to do on the water and continue to offer best-in-class technologies including  the second-generation Intelligent Brake & Reverse (iBR) system. It is the first and only braking system recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard for its contribution to increase recreational boating safety since 2009, and helps the watercraft stop nearly 160 feet (48.75 m) sooner2. The GTI 130 model also slows to 5 mph (8 km/h) from 50 mph (80.5 km/h) in 34.4 feet and 0.5 seconds sooner than competitive models according to Boating Magazine testing.3

BRP is a pioneer in watercraft design from construction to color. The Sea-Doo Recreation segment conveys BRP’s advanced design philosophies through contemporary flowing facet styling and trendsetting coloration. The energy of the Recreation family is conveyed by vibrant colors such as the new Sunrise Orange on the GTI SE models, Manta Green on the GTI model and Orange Crush on the GTS model. Staying true to the versatility of the recreation models, classic Black is the second color option on the GTI SE models while Jet Black Metallic and Deep Pewter Satin dress the GTI Limited 155 model.

BRP’s Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) function features activity-specific power delivery options including Touring, Sport, and ECO modes. The GTI platform also provides a class-leading 30.8 US gallons (116.6 liters) of storage space and best-in-class fuel economy with BRP’s ECO Mode available on all models. ECO Mode automatically determines the most economical power delivery and sets the optimal RPM for greatest fuel economy so riders spend extra time, not extra money, on the water.

The GTI platform also incorporates many ergonomic features designed for rider comfort. BRP’s exclusive inward-angled footwell floors keep the rider’s lower legs/feet in-line reducing ankle fatigue, and the handlegrips come with palm rests enhancing comfort and reducing forearm fatigue. These many exclusive Sea-Doo innovations and features make the GTI family  unbeatable in price-value among full-size watercraft offerings in the industry.

The Sea-Doo GTS model is the lowest priced full-size watercraft in the industry and offers unbeatable value for families looking for unforgettable fun. The nimble handling and great stability make the GTS a great value for any water goer. Utilizing BRP’s exclusive lightweight and scratch and impact-resistant Polytec hull material and powered by the compact Rotax 900 HO ACE engine, the GTS becomes the lightest full-size watercraft in the industry weighing in at 630 pounds (286 kg). Light on the scale but heavy on fun the GTS features class-leading storage with 30.8 US gallons (116.6 l) of space. Standard with the Sea-Doo GTS model is Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) technology with Sport, Touring and ECO modes, allowing riders to choose between three levels of power. Riders will feel secure with Off-Throttle Assisted Steering (O.T.A.S.), Digitally Encoded Security System (D.E.S.S.) with radio frequency technology and iControl Learning Key, Closed-Loop Cooling System (CLCS) and rear-view mirrors. The Sea-Doo Learning Key limits RPMs and acceleration for less experienced riders to gain skill and confidence with less available power. All Sea-Doo models feature Closed-Loop Cooling that uses coolant to cool the engine rather than outside water, eliminating salt and debris from entering the engine for maximum reliability and ensuring proper operating temperatures. The GTS model is available in exclusive White and Orange Crush and is equipped with a durable thermoformed seat making it an ideal option for rental operators.

We consider ourselves lucky at Sea-Doo. Not only do we get to share the most fun experience you can have on the water with our fans, but also get to do this on a global scale. Everyday we receive amazing shots from Sea-Doo watercraft owners telling us their favorite locations to ride. And, with summer in just a couple of weeks, we thought it was the perfect time to share them. So, the next time you’re thirsty for a different kind of get-away, consider a new destination that’s popular among the Sea-Doo family!

DaleGnarwhaleDale Gnarwhale savors summer days riding the Sea-Doo SPARK down the largest natural lake in the western U.S. at Flathead Lake, Montana. This location is also known for the “monster” 50lb Lake trout.

BethanyStouderIf you’re looking to vacation in the mid-west, Bethany Stouder suggests the amazing views of the 800 miles of shoreline at Table Rock Lake in Missouri which she gets to ride on her Sea-Doo GTI SE 155.

JonathanYoung-BonavistabayNewfoundlandcanadaFor our friends up north, Jonathan Young gives us a quick peak at Bonavista Bay in Newfoundland, Canada from his Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 and GTR 215. The history and the heritage of the town and the geography of the location can be appreciated just as well from the water as it can be seen by land.

MaximeTheriault-AlmaQuébecCanadaSaguenay riverMaxime Thériault shares his view of the striking landscapes of the Saguenay River from the Sea-Doo GTR 215. Special to the mouth of the Saguenay is the four species of whale that call the river home. A major river of Quebec at 160km (100 mi), Maxime’s ride gets him from starting point to end where he can pull the throttle or use touring mode to soak in the views.

KitLoganWells-SkagwayAlaskaAlaska is known for having some of the greatest glacier views, and Kit Logan Wells’ shots from Skagway show just some of the sights from his Sea-Doo watercraft.

JeffreyPriddis-MylestomnswAustralia
Of course, we can’t forget our friends down south of the equator. And, while they’re just coming into their winter months. Our fans in Australia are known to ride all year long now matter how chilly it gets. Jeffrey Priddis gives us a little look at his ride in the quaint, coastal town of Mylestom in New South Wales, Australia.

JEREMIEHADJIBEYLI-WAKE-FrenchPolynesia

Sea-Doo WAKE 155 owner Jeremie Hadjibeyli rides an incredibly unique island. Raiatea, known as The Sacred Island in French Polynesia is centrally located and the protected lagoon makes the island one of the best for water-sports.

Just one of the great benefits of owning a Sea-Doo watercraft is the lifetime of fun memories that you and your family will enjoy not to mention the ease of use that they provide.
