Sea-Doo personal watercraft have four entirely different types of hulls. Yes, four. And, each one offers a different type of riding experience so that you get the best type of ride for your style.

Sea-Doo-GTI-Hull

GTI HULL
Let’s start with the GTI hull. Our GTI hulls are playful, stable and predictable. They provide riders that need a more forgiving watercraft, but still have versatility for glassy and moderate water conditions. The hull rides higher on the water surface so that you get that nimbleness that make watercraft a blast and it planes quickly. With multiple passengers, the extended width has been shown to be the most stable ride. How can you point this hull out?

GTI HullThe GTI hull has a flatter V (16-degree deadrise) and is shorter with a low center of gravity. It is also a three-seater, which means it has tow sport capabilities! This hull makes for ideal rides on all of Sea-Doo’s GTI / recreation models as well as the WAKE 155 for wakeskating & wakeboarding and the GTR 215 for performance rides. A recent win from Eric Lagopolous at AquaX in St. Cloud on his Sea-Doo GTR 215 shows just how versatile this hull truly is.

GTX-S3-HullS3 HULL
Always innovating, we didn’t stop with the unique performance of the GTI hull. Our team of designers developed the S3 hull for a Stepped, Stable and Strong ride. Sea-Doo S3 Hull Stepped Design

These hulls are made from a lightweight material, and the stepped style creates a low-pressure zone to reduce drag and create nimble handling.  The S3 hull cuts through the water and leans naturally when cornering; it’s really all about comfort. For riders looking to take an extended journey, this hull reigns supreme as it bridges and cuts chop better.

Sea-Doo S3 Hull You can differentiate the S3 hull by it long, deep V shape (23-degree deadrise) and suspension option. It also comes as a three-seater with towsports capabilities. The S3 is the platform for all of the Sea-Doo GTX / Luxury models (we mentioned comfort, didn’t we?), the WAKE Pro 215, and the RXT models for better offshore performance.

RXP-T3-HullT3 HULL
The revolutionary T3 hull was another design success. For performance enthusiasts, this hull is the cream of the crop. It provides aggressive lean-in turning characteristics. And, it penetrates through chop and rough water conditions better than any of its predecessors. T3 stands for Tight-Turning T-hull and uses an advanced dual surface hull design.

Exclusive T3 Hull

A unique combination of soft and hard chines engages the water with a suction-like force when leaning into a corner. These combined features allow the rider to turn tighter and faster. The T3 hull has great stability at idle and low speeds, unmatched acceleration, and a narrow high-speed running surface that helps the RXP-X track though chop better. It delivers an agile and highly precise driving experience ideal for enthusiasts craving a superior race-oriented watercraft. Complimenting the T3 hull is the Ergolock system that offers the rider greater control and confidence as it focusses on connecting the rider better with he lower body minimizing upper body fatigue. The T3 hull design can only be found on the two-seater RXP-X 260.

SPARK HULL

The SPARK hull design objective was based on bringing back the simple fun and heritage of early day Sea-Doo models. The Sea-Doo X4 hull was one of the all-time best selling hull styles and this hull was used as the basis for the SPARK. This V-hull includes a latter center running surface and two sets of hard chines on either side of the keel to provide precise handling while being nimble and playful.

2014 SEA-DOO SPARK 2UP_STUDIO PROFILE PINEAPPLEThe hull features three new design effects that provide a better overall rider experience. Additional volume was added both to the bow and to the rear gunnels to provide extra buoyancy and stability. Plus the reshaped bow design helps deflect water down providing a dryer ride. Available in both 2up and 3up versions, the 3up option includes the addition of a modular hull extension to raise capacity 100 pounds and providing a more stable platform for tow sports.

2014 SEA-DOO SPARK_LIFESTYLE4SmallThe innovation doesn’t end there as one of the many value propositions of the SPARK is accessibility and fun. Keeping the power-to-weight ratio strong includes keeping the SPARK light weight and the new, exclusive Polytec material provides a lightweight hull while maintaining ruggedness and durability. Weighing in at nearly half the weight of full-sized watercraft, the SPARK is easy to move both on-water and off making it easy to tow with even the smallest sedans.

Needless to say, whatever type of fun you’re looking to have out on the water, Sea-Doo’s designs deliver.

BRP’s award winning Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 leads the strongest high-performance line-up in watercraft history. BRP invented the performance watercraft in 1991 and has led the industry in this segment ever since. The 2013 Sea-Doo high-performance family includes five models led by the RXP-X 260, the decorated, world championship-winning model that changed the definition of watercraft in this segment. The RXP-X 260 offers a T3 hull and Ergolock system, empowering riders to ride like pros with less effort. This high-performance family includes the Sea-Doo RXP-X 260, RXT-X aS 260, RXT-X 260, RXT 260 and the popular GTR 215.

2013 Sea-Doo RXP-X 260

BRP’s Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 became the new standard in the high-performance arena by winning the IJSBA Pro Open & GP racing World Championships, and the European tour Pro Stock and GP Championships. The RXP-X is also the recipient of the prestigious National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Innovation Award, the Red Dot Design Award, and was named 2012 “PWC of the Year” by PWCToday.com.

The 2013 RXP-X 260 enters its second year of setting new performance standards with an ominous visual appeal, ingenious hull design and reinvented ergonomics that allows riders to realize 100% of their riding potential. The T3 hull design allows the RXP-X 260 to aggressively lean into corners and penetrate chop better than any of its two-seater counterparts. T3 stands for “tight-turning t-hull” and uses an advanced, dual surface hull design with a unique combination of soft and hard chines, dual axis adjustable rear sponsons and performance trim tabs. This allows the rider to turn tighter and faster, leaving the competition green with envy.

The revolutionary Ergolock system integrates a narrowing, body-molded racing seat, Adjustable Ergonomic Steering (A.E.S.) system and angled footwell wedges, all complementing the aggressive, lean-in characteristics. With the A.E.S. system, the rider can adjust the handlebar width and grip angle for a perfect upper body connection. The unique RXP-X 260 seat form-fits the rider’s lower body, alleviating upper body strain in hard turns, connecting the rider to the machine, and ultimately the water, better than any other two-seater. Following the dominating World Championship-winning performance of Sea-Doo X-TEAM rider, James Bushell, aboard the T3 hull, the racing community has turned to the RXP-X 260 as the new standard on race-circuits worldwide. With over a year of aftermarket performance parts development, the RXP-X 260 can be customized to fit any enthusiasts’ desires. BRP’s Intelligent Brake and Reverse (iBR) and Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) systems make the 2013 RXP-X 260 the most feature and technology rich two-seater in high-performance watercraft history.

2013 Sea-Doo RXT-X aS 260

The Sea-Doo RXT-X aS 260 features a high output, supercharged Rotax 4-TEC engine with intercooler and race-inspired features, making this open water runner the ultimate offshore watercraft. The exclusive Sea-Doo iControl technologies provide rough water riders more comfort to push performance with full rider suspension calibrated for heavy offshore conditions. The adjustable suspension system (aS) features a compression-adjustable FOX damper and mechanical spring preload adjustment mechanism. The RXT-X aS 260 model boasts heavy sea condition enhancements including: adjustable rear sponsons, adjustable trim tabs and bow stabilizers integrated with the wave penetrating S3 hull design to give the rider greater stability and control at speed. Sea-Doo X-series watercraft are the only models equipped with standard race-inspired features including: custom steering system with A.E.S., grip, groove seat, X-series traction mats and digital infocenter with boost indicator and lap timer. The RXT-X aS 260 model also comes equipped with BRP’s exclusive iBR and iTC systems with ECO mode.

2013 Sea-Doo RXT-X 260

BRP’s 2013 Sea-Doo RXT-X 260 is equipped with advanced X-TEAM racing components that put this model in a class of its own. The non-suspended RXT-X 260 model integrates the precise turning S3 hull with adjustable rear sponsons. The RXT-X 260 watercraft is equipped with standard race specific features including: steering system with A.E.S grip, groove seat, digital infocenter with integrated lap timer and boost indicator, X-Series traction mats, and high-performance variable trim system (VTS). 2013 Sea-Doo RXT 260

BRP’s 2013 Sea-Doo RXT 260 is fully equipped with a high output, supercharged Rotax 4-TEC engine with intercooler and all of the benefits of the Sea-Doo exclusive iControl technologies. The RXT 260 model comes equipped with iBR and iTC with customizable power delivery modes including ECO mode. The RXT 260 features a S3 hull for improved handling and stability, touring and sport mode calibrations for linear power delivery or more aggressive acceleration, tilt steering with integrated digital infocenter, high-performance VTS, hinged seat for easy engine access, watertight removable storage bin and fuel consumption displays among many more.

2013 Sea-Doo GTR 215

BRP’s 2013 Sea-Doo GTR 215 is based on the playful yet predictable handling of the GTI platform while offering more power from its supercharged Rotax 4-TEC marine engine. The GTR 215 carries the Sea-Doo performance heritage with strong acceleration and handling prowess. It’s easily tunable with aftermarket accessories. The GTR 215 is also fully equipped with the Sea-Doo iControl technologies including iTC and award-winning iBR system, allowing the rider to stop up to 100 feet sooner than any other watercraft*. The Sea-Doo GTR 215 features: integrated infocenter, high-performance VTS, 116 liters (30.5 US gallons) of storage and grip and groove seat.

The 2013 Sea-Doo performance family includes the right model for every high-performance enthusiast. IJSBA racers worldwide have made the Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 the new standard in closed course racing, led by World Champions James Bushell (UK) and Chris MacClugage (USA). The Sea-Doo RXT 260 platform is the offshore World Championship watercraft of France’s Cyrille Lemoine, and the Sea-Doo GTR 215 is the ideal combination of playfulness and performance for racers worldwide. High-performance enthusiasts turn to Sea-Doo for a pro-caliber, world championship worthy watercraft to dominate their local waters.

BRP received the “Ski of the Year” award from watercraft industry forum PWCToday.com for its new high-performance Sea-Doo RXP-X* 260 watercraft featuring the all new T-shape (T3) hull design and Ergolock system that better connects the rider to the machine.

“PWCToday.com’s six-person selection committee awarded an amazing 9.14 average out of 10 to the 2012 Sea-Doo RXP-X* and nearly a perfect 10 in the fun factor category,” said John Salvatore of PWCToday.com and the Watercraft Superstore.  “From the looks to the handling, every rider had nothing but praise for this watercraft.”

This is BRP’s second Ski of the Year award with the 2011 Sea-Doo GTI SE 130 model taking the top spot last year. This year, the 2012 Sea-Doo RXP-X* was judged side-by-side with the best new watercraft from the industry by a variety of riders of varying skill and experience levels in multiple categories. With its improved rider ergonomics and new hull design, the ability of the new Sea-Doo RXP-X* to allow riders to fully realize their performance potential led to high marks in overall fun.

“BRP focuses on elevating the consumer experience for every product we build. For many riders, the Sea-Doo RXP-X* redefines the high-performance watercraft,” said Yves Leduc, vice-president and general manager for the North America division. “Winning the second straight PWCToday.com Ski of the Year award chosen by real riders is the result of BRP’s dedication to developing designs and technologies that focus on improving the riders’ experience.”

The new Sea-Doo RXP-X commands attention on any waterway with an ominous visual appeal, the distinctive new ErgoLock system and the tight-turning T3 hull. BRP’s ErgoLock system received high praise for its angled footwell wedges and a gradually narrowing seat designed to better connect the rider to the watercraft. It reduces upper body fatigue by allowing the rider to ride with more confidence and less effort. BRP’s ErgoLock system compliments the tight turning aspect of the new, lean-in style T3 hull that test riders noted as providing near effortless turning capabilities.

“BRP continues to be a trendsetter,” stated Chris Dawson, vice-president and general manager, International division. “With the introduction of the Sea-Doo RXP-X* 260 watercraft, state of-the-art technologies designed to increase product performance allow BRP to maintain its status as the recognized industry leader in innovation.”

BRP’s Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 watercraft also won a 2012 Red Dot award earlier this year for product design in the transportation category. The Red Dot Design Awards is a prestigious international design competition in which more than 1,800 manufacturers and designers from 58 countries submitted a total of 4,515 product designs.
