2014 SEA-DOO WAKE PRO 215_ACTION10

BRP pioneered tow sports behind personal watercraft and has perfected the only watercraft specifically designed for tow sports (waterskiing, wakeskating, wakeboarding, tubing and more) with the 2014 Sea-Doo WAKE 155 and WAKE PRO 215 models. The Sea‑Doo tow sport watercraft provide the best wake towing capabilities and are equipped with exclusive features such as: Ski Mode, board rack and a ski pylon with spotter handles. BRP leverages the partnership with the NIKE Wake team riders to integrate real world engineering input from several of the best wake sport athletes in the world to bring the best watercraft tow vehicle to water sport enthusiasts’ families. These tow-sport specific Sea-Doo models continue to be the watercraft of choice for elite NIKE wakeskate team riders Nick Taylor, Ben Horan, Andrew Pastura, Silas Thurman and wakeboarder Kevin Henshaw. In 2014, the Wake models debut in all-new Dayglow WAKE coloration sure to turn heads and impress even the most discriminating wake boarders.

The 2014 Sea-Doo WAKE models are designed to deliver years of watersports fun for families and professionals alike. BRP’s Sea-Doo WAKE watercraft offer unmatched versatility by providing a first-class pull and exhilarating ride perfect for both beginner and professional boarders, skaters and tow sport enthusiasts. Learning to ride behind an iControl technologies-equipped Sea-Doo watercraft is easier, less intimidating, and more economical than behind a traditional powerboat. Both WAKE models are available with the exclusive Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) system and include the exclusive speed-based Ski Mode to fit wake boarders’ and wake skaters’ needs. This exclusive feature is engineered to make every driver an expert driver with the ability to program the acceleration curve and target speed for a consistent, perfect pull every time.

The WAKE PRO 215 model is designed for power, pro calibre tracking and comfort on a longer ride and has a deeper S3 hull than the WAKE 155. The WAKE 155 model is built on the award-winning GTI platform and offers a nimble, yet predictable ride, on a smaller hull. Both WAKE models are equipped with the Intelligent Brake & Reverse (iBR) system for an additional level of maneuverability and always start in neutral for ease of loading and unloading at the dock or picking up a downed skier.

2014 SEA-DOO WAKE 155

The WAKE 155 model is ideal for the rider who tends to take short day trips on smaller bodies of water, is nimble, versatile in moderate chop and includes room for up to three riders.  In addition to Ski mode, this model includes iControl and ECO mode. It features class-leading comfort and storage with 116.6 litres (30.8 US gallons) of usable space. The WAKE 155 comes equipped with a large swim platform with a fold-down reboarding step, mirrors, and the watercraft industry’s only WAKE package including; Ski mode, retractable ski pylon with three positions and spotter handles, removable board rack and exclusive WAKE graphics.

The 2014 Sea-Doo WAKE 155 is the preferred watercraft of Team Nike wake skater Nick Taylor. Taylor favors the WAKE 155 model for its economical operation and shallow water capabilities versus traditional boats and also its quick turnarounds and pick-ups thanks to the exclusive iBR system. Reliability is perhaps the most important standard feature for Taylor as he has amassed over 670 hours of saltwater use on his WAKE 155 watercraft over the past five years, an amount that would take the average owner over 19 years to accumulate.

2014 SEA-DOO WAKE PRO 215

The 2014 Sea-Doo WAKE PRO 215 model is ideal for the water sports enthusiast who tends to spend more time on extended rides and is looking for a forgiving, nimble watercraft that easily tames any level of choppy water. The WAKE PRO 215 model combines industry-leading design with the best watercraft tow specific components and performance on a larger platform, making it the ultimate towing watercraft. It includes increased horsepower that provides extra torque to get up on the water even quicker thanks to the supercharged Rotax engine. Based on the S3 hull with a deeper V, the WAKE PRO 215 offers solid straight-line tracking during rider edging and greater comfort during extended treks over open water. It comes standard with the ECO Mode. Additional features include a retractable ski pylon with spotter handgrips, removable board rack, fold-down reboarding step, Ski mode, tilt steering, high-performance VTS and watertight removable storage bin.

Nike wake team riders Ben Horan, Andrew Pastura, Nick Taylor, Kevin Henshaw and Silas Thurman use BRP’s Sea-Doo WAKE watercraft exclusively. They have a combined 2,250 hours of use among their respective watercraft. These riders share trick tips and their insights behind the WAKE PRO 215 and WAKE 155 models in the Nike “DO IT” wake video shorts that can be seen in the Wake section on Sea-Doo.com and on the Sea-Doo Youtube channel: youtube.com/seadootv.

BRP has been involved with the wake industry since the inception of the sport in the early ’90s by sponsoring the Bud Pro Wakeboard Tour to showcase the possibilities Sea-Doo watercraft had to offer. This commitment to the sport has lasted 20 years and is stronger today than ever before by simply being true to the sport. Taking the next step in support of the sport, BRP partnered with the fledgling NIKE 6.0 brand (that’s relative to the time) in 2009 to work with their young Pro wake skaters Nick Taylor, Ben Horan and Matt Manzarri.  Each of these talented trio was provided a Sea-Doo WAKE PRO watercraft to further their riding skills and abilities with an economical tow vehicle  that a late teen could afford, as well as to promote the abilities of the only watercraft specifically designed for board sports.  But the effort was not only to gain promotional value for the Sea-Doo brand, they also provided insights and suggestions.

The NIKE riders provided valuable product feedback and have contributed to new designs and technologies that have been implemented on current models and will be on future models. Since the initial partnership with these riders wake skater Andrew Pastura and Wakeboarder Kevin Henshaw have joined the Sea-Doo X-TEAM and ride behind their Sea-Doo WAKE 155 models year round. In-fact, between the five Sea-Doo WAKE watercraft utilized by the team riders they have amassed over 2900 hours per their info center hour meters. Their efforts help BRP make a better WAKE specific watercraft and boat for you.

Sea-Doo watercraft allows these riders to ride more often as they are easy to take on their many adventures and economical to use. They love what they do and they want to share their love of their sport with the next generation of watersports fans. The Sea-Doo “DOO IT” wake instructional video series is in its forth year and each of these athletes shares quick tips on how you can take your riding behind Sea-Doo watercraft and boats to the next level. Be sure to check out the Sea-Doo “DOO IT” playlist on our You Tube Channel, SeaDooTV.
