When the world wants to win, the world rides Sea-Doo watercraft.

All of these riders will have an almost unfair advantage by riding the new Sea-Doo RXP-X watercraft.

The 2014 Sea-Doo RXP-X 260 model is the ideal watercraft for closed course racers and performance enthusiasts. It continues to build its performance legacy with a new Viper Red color, ominous visual appeal, ingenious hull design and ergonomics that allow riders to realize 100% of their riding potential. The T3 hull design allows the RXP-X 260 model to aggressively lean into corners and penetrate chop better than any of its two-seater counterparts. T3 stands for “tight-turning t-hull” and uses an advanced, dual surface hull design with a unique combination of soft and hard chines, dual axis adjustable rear sponsons and performance trim tabs. This allows the rider to lean further into corners, turning tighter and faster, leaving the competition’s two-seaters in its wake.

The revolutionary Ergolock system integrates a narrowing, body-molded racing seat, Adjustable Ergonomic Steering (A.E.S.) system and angled footwell wedges, all complementing the lean-in characteristics. With the A.E.S. system, the rider can adjust the handlebar width and grip angle for a perfect upper body connection. The unique RXP-X 260 seat form-fits the rider’s legs, alleviating upper body strain in hard turns, using the leg muscles to lock the rider into the machine, and ultimately the water, better than any other two-seater.

BRP’s Intelligent Brake and Reverse (iBR) and Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) systems complete the picture and make the 2014 RXP-X 260 the most feature- and technology-rich two-seater in high-performance watercraft history.

The 2014 Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty racer contingency program will be announced in the coming weeks with bigger payouts and bonuses.

Sea-Doo Performance enthusiasts live for the latest and greatest technologies on the water. They want to have the best equipment, the best gear, and head to the water for a real adrenaline rush! They expect the elements that support their passion to be as functional as they are fashionable.

These Sea-Doo Performance enthusiasts fall into the realm of the X-Team, BRP’s designated performance brand for the special, no holds barred, extreme riders. These riders put a premium on power, handling and top-end performance and need riding gear to match these demands. The X-Team riders push their physical and mental abilities to extract every shred of performance from their Sea-Doo watercraft.

When a rider demands the most from their watercraft and themselves the riding gear can make the difference in comfort and performance. That’s why the Sea-Doo X-Team gear is developed in conjunction with the product development to ensure complete rider/watercraft integration.  As with any athlete the initial focus should be on the core.Mens performance X Team Wet Suit

Kevin Wassum is one of these Sea-Doo Performance enthusiasts. He is a Sea-Doo fan, but not any fan; he won the “Ultimate Sea-Doo Fan” contest in 2011 and     has since become a performance fan, having entered his first watercraft racing event this summer. He is a fit rider and wears the Sea-Doo Performance X-Team Combo Suit and Force Pullover PFD. Wassum tells us why this is the right suit for the performance enthusiasts.

“When it comes to rough water riding, I prefer the sleeveless style over the traditional long sleeve one piece and “shorty” wetsuits for a few reasons; the sleeveless wetsuit provides your legs with full coverage and protection from chaffing during choppy conditions. It’s less restrictive and easier to pull on and take off than a one-piece wetsuit because of the material and construction. The sleeveless style also allows a rider to choose between riding with the jacket or without to stay warm during cooler weather or cooler during warm weather. So you get the best of everything, nice fit, comfort when it’s warm out, and warmth when it’s cold out. It also protects from spray when riding all out in a crowd or heavy surf.”

Force PFD thumbWassum also rides with the Sea-Doo Force Pullover PFD and had this to say about his experience with this piece of gear. “It’s got everything you can ask for in a PFD including a nice snug fit, good padding in the chest and back without the feeling of being overly bulky, solid lanyard hook, race approved safety buckles, and a side entry fit that helps prevent the PFD from coming off if you go swimming, if you know what I mean.”booties

The wetsuit and PFD cover the core but how about the connection points between rider and watercraft? Having maximum foot traction is crucial to proper body position to extract maximum performance from the rider’s lower body. The Sea-Doo Booties are designed for the watery playing field, come with a neoprene sock for comfort and provide maximum traction. The boots also feature mesh panels and perforated sole for water evacuation and one-handed lace system to minimize weight and offer quick cinching when on the go.

Keeping a grip on the controls is arguably the most important physical aspect of performance riding and the Sea-Doo glovesVehicle Gloves are designed to keep the rider connected. The Sea-Doo Vehicle Gloves are available in both full-finger and shorty options dependent on personal preference. The neoprene vehicle gloves feature Spandex finger gussets for comfort and protection. The rubberized Pro-Grip on the thumb and palm provides superior grip when calling on the Rotax 4-TEC Supercharged power.

Keeping your eyes on the prize is very important in performance riding as spray and other air born debris, such as insects, can slow2013 Sea-Doo Riding Goggles your fun down quickly. The Sea-Doo Riding Goggles offer the best eye protection with its hypoallergenic silicone seal. They keep out the water and offer the finest anti-fog solution keeping the riders vision of the horizon clear. Perhaps the most innovative element of the ridding goggles is the goggle-to-PFD attachment lanyard that connects them to the PFDs. Now riders don’t have to worry about loosing their eye protection when riding all out.

Wassum provides a final word: “I really like the X-Team Combo Suit and Force PFD, it matches with the rest of the Sea-Doo X-Team gear as well as my RXP-X itself.  So, you’ve got the perfect fit, and with all matching gear, you’ve also got the perfect look.”

X-Team riders or weekend performance enthusiasts, Sea-Doo has the best equipment and gear to ensure you have the ultimate experience in comfort and style!

All of the Sea-Doo performance gear can be purchased through the Sea-Doo online store and at your local dealer.

BRP launches the all-new Sea-Doo Spark watercraft, creating a new category destined to re-“spark” the industry. The 2014 Sea-Doo Spark model is an entry-level watercraft that is fun, accessible, lightweight, easy-to-ride and affordable. The Sea-Doo Spark will make owning a watercraft easier than ever before.

BRP continues the legacy of paradigm shifting the watercraft industry with the most accessible watercraft on the market: the 2014 Sea-Doo Spark watercraft. The Sea-Doo Spark model costs close to 40% less than the closest model1 and is the most fuel-efficient watercraft in the industry2. The Sea-Doo Spark watercraft is compact, designed with an all-new Exoskel architecture consisting of a lightweight durable Polytec material, making it easy to maneuver and extremely playful. Its lightweight also makes it easy to tow. Two Sea-Doo Spark watercraft and a Sea-Doo Spark Move II trailer weigh less than 1,500 lbs. (680 kg), making it easy to tow behind many popular compact sedans.

The Sea-Doo Spark watercraft is a blast to ride thanks to its power-to-weight ratio and close to 50% better than the closest competitive model3. It is also fully customizable with multiple configuration choices: 2up or 3up configurations, choice of engine packages, with or without Intelligent Brake & Reverse (iBR), with or without the Convenience Package, in five color options, a host of new accessories and 20 vibrant Attitude Graphics kits that can be added, all designed to enhance your family time on the water.

•BRP’s luxury segment has expanded the Anthracite Grey color to the new GTX Limited 215 model and will offer a handsome Alloy Orange for the 2014 GTX 155 and GTX S 155 watercraft.

•With various improvements in different systems, Sea-Doo watercraft can now run longer without interruption. Last year, BRP revised the service interval for the supercharger, extending it to 200 hours of use regardless of the number of years. For 2014, the new maintenance schedule requires the first oil change to be done after one year or 50 hours, subsequent changes are needed only every 100 hours or after a year of usage for all models. Another Sea-Doo maintenance improvement for this year is the fact that the engine coolant can now be used for 5 years or 300 hours before needing replacement.

BRP’s Sea-Doo 2014 watercraft lineup offers an extensive range of models that continue to set industry benchmarks in each segment, and meet and exceed every type of riders’ desire in performance, commodity, rider comfort and safety. The new 2014 Sea-Doo Spark model turns the dream of family fun on the water a reality right now.

BRP listens to people. BRP listens to what powersports enthusiasts think about their current products, including Sea-Doo watercraft, and what those enthusiasts want to see for future products. BRP is world renown for innovative design but it is important to realize that BRP doesn’t develop new designs simply for the sake of change. The new designs and new products BRP develops are based off of consumer desires and every innovation has a purpose.

The BRP Advanced Concepts team helps shape the future of recreational products.  It does so by listening to consumers and enthusiasts; listening to what is important to them and what moves them. What “moves” them in every way, meaning both physically and emotionally. Sea-Doo watercraft make good days great, no matter what the hull, no matter what the engine, no matter what the color. Simply riding a Sea-Doo watercraft provides an enjoyable experience.

Watercraft riders want comfort; BRP develop the first intelligent suspension. Watercraft riders want more control around the dock; Sea-Doo develop intelligent brake & reverse.

Watercraft riders want to wakeboard; the team develop intelligent throttle control with ski mode.

Watercraft riders want to turn tighter; engineers develop Ergolock and the T3 hull.

All innovative technologies, but all based off of consumer desires.

On September 15th at 8PM, the 2014 Sea-Doo watercraft lineup will be launched and again the world will see how BRP innovates by listening to people.
